Chameleon: Privacy Screen for Gmail

Chrome and Edge extension

Designed and shipped from problem discovery to both browser stores. The product combines a TypeScript browser extension, a reusable core package, font engineering, explicit feedback flows on Azure, and production verification. Its privacy screen remaps the font while keeping the original page text intact, preserving copy and paste, accessibility, and graceful degradation.

About

Led by a principal engineer, accountable for the result

DMITech is the consultancy of Dušan Mihajlović, a software engineer and solution architect based in Novi Sad, Serbia, with 15+ years of building and modernizing production systems for international clients including Ecolab, Grundfos, and Posten Norge.

The work is mostly in industrial environments where systems handle large amounts of data, live for decades, and make mistakes expensive. That shapes how it gets done: architecture before speed, decisions written down where the next engineer will find them, and responsibility that does not end at handover.

Modern AI tooling is used where it holds up to production standards; what gets signed for is the correctness of the system over time, not the speed it was typed at.
